one thing about locking the car , please help

Hello everyone
I m shing , from Hongkong
Sorry for my English level first

I want to know
There is a 'peep peep' sound when I lock the car (engine on)
I wish I could turn that sound off

Sometime I just want to leave the car and buy a drink and I don't want the turn off the engine (and turn on again after a minute)

That voice is annoying, and makes everyone look at me

is there any way to turn the sound off?

I'm sort of with the OP on this one, although it's not that I dislike having an audible chirp when locking/unlocking the vehicle, it's that I wish it wasn't quite so loud. It would be interesting to locate the alarm / speaker module and fit some kind of muffler around it to reduce the projected volume.

In the US the horn honks when you lock the door when the engine is running. You can code this off and I did as well. You can also change the volume or turn it off completely for any noise related to unlocking/locking. I did all of this on Bimmercode.

Sure.

There are two sections you need to modify.

The first one for the lock/unlock noise is under "ROOF FUNCTION CENTER".

Turn Acoustical lock/unlock confirmation to "Not Active".

For the beep noise when the engine is running, it is under "Front Electronic Module".

Turn Horn signal when locking the car with engine running to "Not Active"

Attached are the two screenshots.

There is no feature to "auto close" but there is a feature where you can hold the lock button on the keyfob to roll them up.

Use a USB cable lol. Even with Carplay it's not instant.

You can check the BMW site for software updates. https://www.bmw.com/en/footer/software-updates.html
