Thanks for posting this. Now I understand why the LED lights have a reflector.
I personally think the Xenon lights look better, but LED is probably the way to go.... I think.

Thanks for justifying the $1,900 I was already planning on spending.

Got a link for that pic? It's a bit blurry.

Not worth $1,900, not even close to it. All the adaptive features are already available with xenons, they provide identical coverage. The rings around the lamps are also the same. Unless you are standing 2 ft in front of your front bumper at day time you can't really see the difference. At night you can, but then who is going to really care about that? I guess some people do.

if bmw is going to charge a premium to get LED lights, it should be all-encompassing and include the tail lights as well

having said that i'm most definitely going to get the LED package just b/c i'm a sucker for LED lights

Same here. Will update the tails when they undoubtedly change them for the LCI, like I did on my E46 & E92.

I will try to decide for myself. However, a friend of mine who averages between 5-7 car purchases per year, just got his first car with LED's, a 2014 E. Class. He says that without a doubt, they are the most impressive headlights he's ever driven with. And that list includes some pretty nice machinery.

Maybe the xenons his car's model comes with are not as good? There was a guy here who owns a M6 GC who said they were a waste of money.

If you a hole in your pocket, by all means....

I can agree that not all Xenons are created equal.

Xenons were a huge upgrade back in the day and the current generation of adjustable Xenons are much better than the fixed ones.

What is wrong with the LED offering?
