M3/M4 User Manuals Now Available on iTunes App Store for iphone and ipad

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
EDIT:
You can download the zipped browser version of the M3 user manual here. It should be readable on your PC's web browser.

EDIT:
April 26, 2014
M4ever notified us that the M3 and M4 manuals are now available for iOS. It looks like it is available in Germany and USA. It may not be available worldwide as tisme says it is not available in UK for him.

On your iDevices, go to the app store, and search for BMW Drivers' guide. After the app is downloaded, you will need to enter the last 7 digits of an M3 or M4 VIN. You can find the VIN on some of the pictures on bimmerpost. Then you can download the manual for your offline viewing pleasure.

If you don't have an iDevice, the HTML version of the manual is attached below. Beware that the image files are missing and they are not in chronological order.

Besides getting allocation numbers and reading first reviews from new owners, I think the next big item for discussion will be the user manual. I am sure we will go over it with a fine tooth comb.

Questions to folks who were around during the E9x M3 launch (or other recent BMW launches), when did its user manual become available online for download?

It looks like the E92 M3 manual showed up in January 2008.

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106404

The US launch date was sometime in March 2008. So there was a couple months lead time.

But the launch in the UK for example was in 2007.Cars had already launched in other countries before the US so the manual was after launch in many cases.

With simultaneous worldwide launch maybe we can expect the manual for download after launch?

Each country has its own manual. For countries where the E9x M3 was available before the US, the manual's availability would likely have predated those respective launch dates as well. I didn't search for information about that, but I do agree it would be useful to confirm the timing in those cases as well.

I'll be happy with the German one also, I could use the practice in the other language I've forgotten. I'll even translate it to you, in the purpose of making an idiot of myself.

I'll be happy with the German one, I'll even translate it to you, if you promise not to sue me for all the things i f up, and you have sore tummy for laughing at me.

I hate the fact that my English is so horrible, but my German is even worse, and that I studied way longer.

I think the german user manual is already out since extracts were already posted in another thread. Not sure why it is not shared as a pdf. Probably some remote legal risk

I'll get it tomorrow, but any questions should be directed to the people who still speak the language. I can only claim 4 nowadays, and Germany is the one I should be the best at, but ...

Oih! The Finnish ego man! No way I could be wrong! Ever!

I'm highly dyslexic, so I work mainly on words forms, the appearance of a word. Talking is quite easy on any of these, but I have no idea how to write in Germany anymore. And that, my friend sucks.

Well, you want to make it into a handbook? Shall we help the people who happened to be born in the wrong continent together?

No, I do not have a sense of humor, look at all our F1 drivers if you doubt me.

Now that first deliveries have commenced, I hope the user manual (English?) will be available for download soon.

One would hope so. The spouse is going crazy over this, he just wants to start picking on my car already.

rumour has it that the German owner's manual is available for both the M3 and M4. Both on meinbmw.de and on an App called BMW Drivers guide, both only available to people resident in Germany. Any chance that any German resident can look this up and share the manual (if necessary via PM)?

thanks

Tried to get it... but as far as I can see you have to have a VIN to actually be able to load it. I tried the VIN of one of the show cars, that didn't work.
So maybe someone else has to give it a shot.

Are you talking about an English language version of the German manual being available through these channels?

If not and you just want the German language version, forum moderator southlight may be able to assist you. He posted a thread here with notable excerpts:

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=965749

You could ask him if he is able to provide you with the full text, though I am not certain if he has an electronic copy of if he has only a paper copy and has scanned in certain pages.
