French review of MG/SO M4

A short review and it's in french, but it's a must see: the M4 looks great in this colour combo:

This guy sounds like Jean Girard from Talladega Nights lol.

The full leather SO interior looks immaculate. The MG exterior however is way too dark and looks like any other 4series in MG.

I do enjoy how they incorporated Daft Punk/Tron: Legacy towards the end :P

It's definitely been said on here that the changes on the outside (apart from that gorgeous roof) are subtle in many ways. I tried to find the one great comparo thread that had the animated images showing the 1:1 for each of the standard colors. I could've sworn it was stickied but I guess not.

I love the darker quality at times that comes with MG, but with the lighter quality at others, all around still showing off the lines of the car. I think if I were really going to want to stand out more, personally, I'd have gone with AY. I agree with many here that it will (with time) likely become one of those "classic" colors for the car. Some will like, some won't, but it will always turn heads I think.

End of the day, car is going to look fantastic no matter the color; I'm super excited to see them all over the next several months

MG is not my cup of tea for that reason, but I don't think it's quite the same.

OMG that SO interior looks gorgeous! Glad I got it.

I actually think MG looks great on the coupe, and hides a few unflattering aspects of the car. That's the first video that made me actually consider the coupe this time around (....juuuussstttt for the length of the video ).

I actually don't like MG on the 4 series, but on the M4 it has such an understated powerful stance!....I think the dark color shortens visually the car and highlights the wheel arches (MG works well with light), which makes it loook very muscular ....love it!

+1 I agree the lighter the color, the larger the car looks..

I like MG because it makes it look smaller, more sporty as well when the light hits, MG looks fantastic on the m4.. Esp with the blue steel calipers, it's a nice unusual contrast.

Black hides the body lines too much, while MG keeps the lines in sight as well as providing a light contrast for the carbon roof to stand out and not disappear like on black.

Also, MG reminds me of the color of the Lamborghini that Christian Bale drove in one of the batman movies with black rims.. It was so sexy and can only assume they didn't go with black because it hides body lines.

I can only imagine my MG M4 on black powder coated rims, beautiful and sinister all at the same time.

I love black wheels on dark gray cars, it makes the cars look menacing. I had that combo before and have it now on my M3 and would have a hard time not doing it again if I bought a brand new M4, you can't go wrong with that combo!

my first choice, glad i switched to MW, MG is just a tad bit too dark and dull for ME.

loving the red interior, which is why I'm sticking with MW, i want the red guts, which u can't pull off with AY, YMB or SO.

They started the M4 up and after hearing the exhaust someone said, "What's that?". Another replied, "It's German." Within half an hour France's military went to defcon 1 and they were looking for the white flags.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Seriously, MG/SO was the combo I had pegged. I'd prefer something different, but nothing else BMW is offering for the M3/4 is all that great. After seeing this combination though, it confirms my initial impression -- it's good. Thanks for posting.

Cheers.

Although it's a beautiful color combi, it only reflects the same popular combo found on regular 4er M Sports. The difference on the road would be minimal to non-passionates.

Hey, *I* am the resident prematurely aged Canadian on this forum.

I don't care WHO gets the AW/SO car, they are merely Canadian posseurs.

(I guess you could always try to do an inverse finnish flag with individual Tanzanite blue and SS interior.)

Oh, here I thought there was some clever "Red (well, SO) and White (AW) = Canadian flag" thing going on there.

Guess that shows me for thinking you were clever!
