Comparable. The Corvette is getting 11.6 to 12.0 in real world testing so it is a bit faster but the M4 is no joke.

Hmmm...so if you don't use the rear space C&D rates the base 911 the overall winner. It lost six points on rear seating alone. No surprise, if it had the rear seat space of the M4 it would be my choice.

I'm relatively convinced they pick a winner and then score appropriately rather than the other way around. Besides, the 991 911 is no joke.

A little history lesson...
In 2009 the E92 M3 won 220-202. http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...mparison-tests

I don't think anyone of us know how they score so no need to sepculate one way or the other. I haven't driven the M4 but I have driven the base 991 and I really like it. I would have bought it if my kids could fit in the back, trust me, I tried...more than once but had to give up

looks like owners in great DA and air will be able to get lightly optioned M3/M4s into the 11's and 120ish. The car is a rocket ship in a straight line, especially considering it's not meant to be a straight line car.

Two different price points, that's why. Welcome to the forums.

Gee gthal, you mean that Porsche moved the goalposts?
For some of us still - and for a long time BMW were explicit about this - the Porsche 911 is the benchmark for the M3. There is no particular reason you should consider it relevant, or that your judgement as to its relevance should affect mine.

I think you're all correct. It's like comparing an apple to an orange here. Different type/style of cars. Probably silly that they even compare them other than to give folks random stuff to post on forums, right? |

LOL!
Look at the two categories where the 911 lost a combined total of 6 points. Which would give it the win. -Rear seat leg room -Rear seat space Honestly...No sh*t the 911 has no rear leg room. |
