Perhaps you should read what he wrote before posting a mocking comment?

He test drove a DCT twice before in an F80, and now the F82 is a manual.

Thank Joe. I am kinda used to this forum being full of numbnuts who have nothing better to do than post their mindless comments on every thread

For 6mt, throttle sport. Don't use sport plus on a test drive of this car. The rev-matching is so superb and you don't have time to adjust to the way the RPMs drop in sport plus like you would if you owned it. Sport Plus, if you are beating on it, is more fun in the MT mainly because it creates more dramatic exhaust BRRRRAPPPPSSS.

For steering, comfort or sport. For a test drive, sport.

For the suspension, if it has adjustable suspension obviously, use comfort on 202 on the bumpy sections and switch back and forth between comfort and sport. To me, the change is obvious. For backroads, sport. However, even on the bumpy sections, sport is perfectly comfortable.

Cliff notes: Sport in all modes is perfectly wonderful and a great default. Comfort is great for "starting out", smooth driving, bumpy roads, etc.
Thanks a lot. Exactly the feedback I was looking for. Should have just pm'ed you instead of creating a thread My CA happened to mention it's still there and I figured I might as well give the manual a shot even though I am all set on the DCT. That $2900 could be used towards a lot of useful stuff

Yes, it is the stripper manual they ahve there. it has still not sold. Not thinking of buying that though. Still holding out for a 2016 ED. The test drive route I take is 202N > 926 > Creek Road > Route 1 > Webb Road > Back to 202. It is a good mix.

I know that test drive route. Switch back and forth between comfort and sport or sport plus suspension settings on the broken up areas of 202 to get a feel for how it changes the damping.

Steering is either comfort or sport. Sport Plus is under-assisted with no benefit, IMHO. Just pick one and stick with it. i recommend sport for a test drive.

Throttle is more personal but I highly recommend sport setting for a 6MT test drive.

Perhaps he should have mentioned that in his initial post instead of just asking about drivelogic settings and saying that he hasn't had a chance to drive an M4 yet.

Besides, my mocking comments are cheeky and fun. Other mocking comments are cruel and tragic, so there!

I drive on a regular road with lots of cars:
D2
MDM
Suspension - Comfort
Steering - Comfort
Throttle - Sport

When there is less cars and I can drive how I like - everything in Sport Plus, MDM, S3 - the best settings)

Perhaps you should have read the whole thread before feeling the urgent need to comment. That said, it's all good I will post my feedback soon. Hopefully it is a positive one.

Not very good settings for testing a 6MT. Sport+ on the throttle would not allow for a auto-rev matching test. Also there is no D2 or S3.

Yup, just drove that one as well last week

Wasn't a 30 minute test drive by any means, but it was a nice little ways around the back road twisties.
