6 weeks for me and no news yet, absolute muppets; think about the apple supply chain and the BMW Australia supply chain and you understand why apple is nearly valued at a trillion dollars. They launch a car that's over priced (IMHO), re-price at the time of the competitors launch which is a joke cause they were discounting the last generation because the c63 slaughtered them in sales volumes so why not effectively price to begin with and now hold back the MY16's to move inventory (I know this cause the dealers were all trying to spruke MY15's on floor when I was ordering the MY16). Thanks to bimmerpost, I knew what was in store with the LCI although was hopeful to pick up a comp pack as well.
A pathetic practice of holding cars, you would think they understand that most people understand how to use Google and will come across the new cars which have been delivered globally for a while now. This has now turned out to be a poor purchase experience, would never have ordered a car to be warehoused for two months. Muppets |

M3 LCI. BMW AU won't release until Oct 23rd officially cause apparently that's when the LCI's (F30 i assume but F80 is caught up on this) officially go on sale. My car arrived in Port Kembla on Aug 16th and still no date other than Oct 23rd for delivery. I am absolutely f*!ked off

Ok. But this is silly because BMW sold out of M3s more than a month ago. I pretty much bought one of the last and I had a dealership looking for another for someone who wanted one. At the time there were only 10 demos left nation wide but no more new cars.

There are 19 2015 M3s advertised on car sales. I don't know if the number of ads are correlated to stock but I believe you in that they will be working hard to sell existing stock asap. I bought/ordered late May. Painful to wait this long and still even more frustrating that the car is warehoused since mid August.
As purecrema mentioned, they were also working through compliance but my understanding is the cars are now compliant. What ever it is, I think it stinks... |
