Congrats Pierrot....did you get Manual or DCT?
Any mods planned yet?....before i got mine i had all these mods planned, but now that i have her, i don't actually feel the need to change anything...except maybe some wider tyres down the track, it's easy to lose traction when accelerating (full power) with MDM mode. The sound system could also do with some tweaking but its about 80% there for me. |

Hey FR00ZN, Up2nogood
Thanks guys - went DCT. I do love driving manual cars and this is one the reasons why I am intending to keep my EVO9. Just as Up2nogood posted recently, I bought the M3 with no intentions of modding - I will keep modding for the EVO - this being said, I did find the car a bit quiet for my taste yesterday - so a performance exhaust is not excluded However just a very happy customer right now and just want to enjoy this beautiful machine as is. Is the power change quite significant when the limiters are removed after 2000km? |

Indeed - I cant' seem to find any info online about reduced power for first 2000k - maybe i misunderstood (blame it on the excitement) Can any1 contribute? Is launch control the only thing we miss out on for the first 2000km? |

thanks Slowie -
I did clearly ask if I had to not rev beyond a certain point during the run in period, and was reassured that we can't hurt the car (ie because full power is restricted until 2k? ) |

Congrats Pierrot
My car also revved up all the way to the top during my track days, I don't believe I had a rev limiter in place but my dealer insisted that they had to remove the limiter at the first service. |

Congrats.
They don't activate Launch control until after that first service. But the fine print says, you shouldn't use it until after 5,000 miles.
