OSS Icon headlights for xenons

Don't know if you guys saw this, but it looks like there's finally a solution for all of us with Xenons who regret not getting the LEDs. I'm interested to see what these will be priced at, they look much better than just painting the housings black. Now we can get a better looking headlight without having to retrofit LEDs with custom harnesses and coding. Anyone planning on going this route?

That's actually really awesome. I'm curious how much those will cost. I just couldn't justify spending $1,900 on headlights. If they're less than that I might actually consider these at some point.

Sent an email to OSS late last night. I'll post what I'm quoted at once they respond. For comparison, I also sent an email out to Oneighty about blacking out the housing and installing a new set of angel eyes that mimic the ones like the OSS or even just the stock LEDs. I've heard back from them but still waiting on a quote. Hopefully that will let us see who offers the best upgrade for the xenons for the best price.

Anyone have any other suggestions on how to improve the look of the xenons without having to retrofit a set of LEDs? I'd love to hear some things others have done or ideas they have.

For the LED's they start at like 1500 and go up pretty high. I wrote these off long ago.

I also got a response from OSS. Here's their options:

Procedure entails sending your headlights to us in the mail for a retrofit. Turn around is 5-7 business days depending on options chosen. All mods are done in-house. If you are a local you can drop off your car (requires a bumper removal fee) Kits are not available.

If you are not able to send your headlights, we can sell you a new set of headlights for us to work on. Please state if they’re LED or Xenon version. (If you need assistance determining which you have, please send us a front close-up picture.)

Once you receive your headlights from us the re-Install requires easy minor wiring in engine bay. (no pro shop needed.) No errors and a 1 year warranty on ring parts, seal and finish.
Auto Dimming and FOB ON feature is currently not supported due to F series vehicles being close ended on the OEM angel circuits.

Once desired options are chosen and final price quote is sent, the build is reserved with payment.

Soonest available booking is for June 23rd, tentatively.

Icons in 6k: $1,299.00

Looks like $1500 is possible for the rings and housing in semi-gloss (don't know if i need the brow, OEM brow looks good to me) if you DIY the removal and installation. Not too bad.

Alright, I've been talking with OSS and i think I'm going for these lights, but I'm a bit confused. If I want to get them done without messing with my factory lights, I'll have to get a new set of lights for them to modify and I'll swap the lights out. However, a brand new set of lights will run me about $1,600 and I'm not really liking the thought of having my headlights worked on, having an issue, and having a headlight-less car while waiting for the issue to be resolved. Ive seen some pretty pristine used lights for pretty cheap on eBay, but they don't come with bulbs or modules. Yes it'll cost me more, but it's a price I'm willing to pay for the peace of mind. My question is, if i plan on just switching over the new lights onto the car and storing the old ones away, can I just carry over the bulbs (the xenon for the headlight) and all of the modules to the modified set, or is there something preventing that from working?

Let us know how everything goes. I'm interested in this, and if it isn't that big of a PITA for you then I think I'll seriously consider this. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to just transfer things over. Keep us updated! Your car will definitely look awesome.

Yeah I'll make sure to document it all. I'll leave the headlight transfer process to a shop unless i can find a nice DIY guide for it, but I know the shop I'd take it too pretty well and have them take lots of pictures. I'll also do a write up and include shipping time, price, etc. I emailed OSS to ensure that i can transfer over the bulbs and modules, and if I can, I'll most likely go through with it.

I would totally go for it with the xenons, and skip the blackout (because that hides the beautiful details of the lights and also looks too distant from an OEM finish)

If I had LED's I would pass just because you already paid 2k for those lights lol

Also, keep in mind I have heard these lights are insanely bright. Not sure if that has been addressed with a dim function but I would look into that. One of my friend's knows a guy with the Icon lights and they are almost 3 times brighter than OEM, it actually is hard to look at in person from too close (and gets many oncoming high beam "courtesy flashes" at night)

The only thing questionable about them is they don't light up when you unlock the car as courtesy lights or when you press unlock on the key fob even if the car is already unlocked. I inquired about these lights and received the same email back posted already about all the different options and costs. The only time they light up is when you actually turn the ignition on which I don't care for but they do look extraordinary dare I say better than factory LED's : I love them I may do this at some point. I have blacked out headlights with LED upgrade rings from Oneighty and that cost $1,500. So pricing for these is not really that out of whack with Oneighty upgrade I did on my 335i. I would love to see these in person before making a decision. Hopefully someone at Bimmerfest East has them for me to check out. That may just push me over the edge

these look great!

I'm glad to see OSS step in, ONEighty has had all the business so far on these.

I personally wouldn't spend the money on them, so I wont comment on prices, I did giggle a little at being charged to have their logo inside though

What is the difference between xenon and led headlight on f80 m3? Is there a obvious cosmetic difference? Pictures? I am not even sure what my car has...
