My GTS Order

Dealer just informed me that my "July" production car is now an October production car that will be here in time for Christmas.To say I am not impressed is an understatement!They also tell me it will still be a 16 model

I think the delay is due to the fact that Canada took a lot of the earlier production slots for the European delivery tours.

It was known from the beginning that all M4 GTS will be model year 2016.

We want it to be a 2016 car. 2017 cars have fewer miles on warranty and one less year on Maintenance.

I would much prefer a 17 even with less warranty.I have not seen that the warranty has been changed in Canada.

I am quite happy to rant right now as my plans will have to change for the summer!But that being said I will probably keep the car but there might be something else new & hotter that I will want to have as the GTS will be old news by the time I have it in my hands.

That is disappointing. I am disappointed with a September build. Unless I travel the track season is pretty much over. In the US BMW is only providing 3 years of routine maintenance starting with 2017 models.

I played with this on Thursday at Mosport and came away very impressed.

And I ran this for 5 days in the Canadian Track Day Adventure

I am getting worried this will also happen to me, Idont know but I have a bad feeling. May was my production and did hear nothing. Not at all happy🔥

Tech pack with no coolers and yes it went into limp mode after 4 laps when pushed hard.The R that was there had no such issues.All the 17's come standard with the proper coolers for the track.

Not too happy right now with BMW and there are a lot of other good choices for a playtoy/track car that are obtainable.

Sorry but I have to laugh over this angst. I am perfectly satisfied knowing I am getting one of the 300 coming to the states whenever it arrives.

In 2014 I received the first (or one of the first) Alfa Romeo 4C's delivered in the U.S. Neither I nor the dealer knew the car was arriving until 30 minutes prior when the truck driver called the dealership. I gave up asking for updates about four months earlier. It is what it is. Enjoy the summer.
