2016 BMW M3 VF Engineering HEX Tuning Stage ONE

Vehicle: 2016 BMW (F80) M3 (DCT) - Alpine White
Software Level: HEX Tuning Stage ONE
Additional Mods: Completely Stock
Fuel: 93 Octane
Dynamometer: DynoJet 248c

I've had this tune for about a week and my experience is directionally consistent with what others have reported. I haven't had issues with throttle sensitivity as the adaptations have started to take effect very quickly. The power delivery is very smooth and the car feels incredibly strong. It's difficult to articulate how this tune has transformed the car. As reported, the dreaded cold start sequence is effectively gone. From a technical and mechanical standpoint, I realize it hasn't been removed per se but the car is no longer obnoxiously loud on cold start. In short, if you're on the fence I would strongly recommend this tune. See below for before and after dyno runs in SAE, STD and Uncorrected.

Pros: Power, throttle response, OEM like drivability, GTS inspired features, improved cold start experience, improved exhaust note
Cons: DME removal. I would have preferred the DME not be removed; however, like many others, I eventually got over it. I've also noticed my gas mileage has noticeably decreased. I suppose that's a self imposed problem.

Amazing gains. The fact that you have more control over every engine parameter seems paramount compared to the 6 or 7 connections a piggy back might make.
