Sure - here's a few snapshots from over the years, all of these are great cars but the NSX and s2000 are true keepers! NSX with some buddies: GPW vs. Suzuka Grey: GPW Siblings (s2000 is borrowing big brother's shoes): s2000 is still my favorite DD:

TGIF, great way to start the weekend, going to start with a complete detail job and then clear bra film protection.
We have some very trick parts (all custom made being used for this car) stay tuned Car arrives 9/16/16 with only 6 miles on her, my first impressions from driving a few miles is the exhaust note for the Competition package definitely sounds more throaty that the stock system. Not as loud as the MPE but certainly has some character. The stock clutch feels surprisingly super light, much less pressure than the stock one in my R8. Not sure if I like this but will have to take some getting used to it. Shifter feel is very good, not notch and has a nice solid firm grip. I'll post a better review once I have driven the car a few miles this weekend. The car is going to serve as a primary DD for myself and the kids when I don't need to carry any large loads or packages. Hope this car lives up to the hype

Over the weekend, got a few mods completed:
We had our windows done in Pinnacle Formula 1 ceramic tint which really helps keep the heat out of the car, even my wife said the car looked way better with the tint. With no tint it was getting cooked in the car so this is a must have option! I also took the time to get the V1 hardwired with a suction mount. This is much more secure than the small suction cups and most importantly, NO RATTLE! It's 100% solid and I can swap it for the GoPro if needed for track days. This is the first time I brought a stock car to a car show but the car was well received. Granted it was sitting a bit too high, everyone loved the car. The competition package really gives the car an aggressive look with the blacked out badges and special wheels. A lot of aero upgrades are going on the car next so stay tuned! this was at Spocom Norcal over the weekend:

The car has been great but been busy lately and thus the car has mainly been sitting, still under 1000 miles for now LOL. Got a bunch of mods going on the car in the next few months including the Fabspeed exhaust, KW coilovers, CF flat bottom/flat top steering wheel, and many other parts.
Only things on the car right now is the Clear bra film protection and some bits of vinyl work. I hope to get the suspension done soon but right now all the photos are at stock ride height. The ZCP package isn't too bad, if the front is dropped maybe an inch it would look pretty decent for a stock car. Right now the front just looks too high, dunno why BMW chose this setup. A few things I've noted thus far is the driving position and seats are really good in this car. BMW has really done their homework. Everything just feels right. I was worried about the feel of the 6-speed manual since I never drove one prior to buying but this car has a much improved shifter and clutch over the e9x series. I can't get enough of the M2 dynamic mode. Pedal feel is really firm and solid. The clutch is definitely softer than what I'm used to but for day to day driving it's perfect. One thing that bugs me is I can't watch video when the car is in motion. I want to tap the video for some rear screen entertainment for the kids and still debating this problem. Some recent photos, enjoy.... The NSX is one of those cars that looks so tiny no matter what you park next to it, still surprises me to this day: Wanted to capture a stock picture of the interior (minus the V1) before all the carbon goodies goes into the car! Halloween with the kids, should have gotten Orange instead LOL:

Subscribed, love your NSX more than M3 as is haha. The mods you are bringing in will obviously tilt the scale a bit
Hope I will come across your M3 one day, the color is unique in NorCal. BTW The shop in e9x photo looks very familiar to me Never seen your cars there though. Last edited by Skid123; 11-05-2016 at 08:53 PM.. |

A few shots of the car prior to all the major mods go on the car.
Going to have it lowered, new exhaust, lotsa Carbon Aero goodies, etc This is as she sits now with a full front clear bra wrap, custom vinyl work on rear bumper and added the custom CF flat top+ bottom steering wheel. Going to get a custom shift knob and E-brake made shortly. Car definitely needs a drop: Rear end is ready for a new diffuser and exhaust: Steering wheel setup is nice and beefy: Aerial shot:

I've seen your collection of cars in the past years including the GT3, NSX, many ///Mcars and that killer garage that you have. You seem easily like a millionaire with so many toys and a nice house. But yet you wrote "Due to my wife's work schedule, I almost always have the kids with me".
The question is where do I find myself a sugar mama like that? because if I had that much money to have that many nice toys, I'd first make sure my wife is retired and spends time with her kids that she loves instead of busting her ass working that many hours away from her family. Nice M3 BTW except I don't like the black wraps for the rear bumper.

With kids and the holidays haven't had much time to drive the car let along work on it but finally got some of the mods on the car.
First step was to install the Fabspeed full exhaust. This thing was pretty straight-forward but what surprised me was the stock exhaust is all ONE-PIECE!!! (all 130+ inches of this sucker is one piece which makes storing it a PITA!) I wonder why BMW did not have any couplers....anyways the Fabspeed pipes are huge and it takes some careful alignment to make sure nothing rubs. I used some high temperature heat tape to protect certain areas where it go really close to the chassis. Kinda an OCD thing since I wanted everything to be perfect. The sound will have to wait for some videos but first impressions compared to the ZCP exhaust: a) In Comfort mode just driving around town it's barely noticeable. Without going WOT just putting around town, my wife didn't even know I changed the exhaust. Fabspeed did a wonderful job of making this exhaust sound very nice. Even at cold start it's bearable and neighbor friendly. b) In Race mode, the exhaust is louder but nowhere near what I was expecting. Compared to the Tubi on the R8, this thing is a kitten. Definitely more volume. It's throaty around town and really screams at WOT. Since I'm not past break-in period yet, never really passed 5k on the car. Side-note: BMW dealer did my 1200 mile service at the same time as my BMW difference recall so I have to wait till the car hits roughly 2500 miles before going back to get it checked one more time. There just happened to be another rare Comp M3 when I was there: here's the rear diffuser being installed (exhaust already on the car) Rear side aero pieces: We used this heat tape to protect the carbon where it gets really close to the exhaust: So next up is the KW "HAS" cup kit and front CF aero pieces. Will take photos and update this thread as time permits. I also have a custom CF shift knob being made for the car with added weight and new matching Alcantara shift boot and E-brake handles all being custom made since I don't like what M-perf. has for this car. thanks for reading!

Got the suspension installed last night. Kit went on without too many issues except for an annoying Fault code for the "Chassis function restricted" light. Going to take it into dealer to get the sensors checked out.
here's what the kit looks like out of the box: Structs were removed to replace the sleeves: Some nice shots of the Fabspeed exhaust setup and rear diffuser setup:

A couple of shots taken by @gregfeightytwo on Instagram!
Car is nowhere near completion as none of front or side aero parts were installed yet. Still have the BBK and wheels to add as well. There were taken X'mas Eve on the way to a C&C event by 100|OCT at Santana Row. Weather was perfect and I even had my kids with me in the back seat on this drive The M3 is living up to the purpose I mainly picked up the car for which was to enjoy on weekends with the kiddies. This car sounds so perfect with the Fabspeed exhaust right now. No drone and with the valves closed, wife can't even tell exhaust has been changed. With valves open there is definite "bark" to the car but still not obtrusive like the B&B on my e46 m3. Enjoy and happy holidays!
