I took out the foam pad that comes with that thing and put in some shredded memory foam that came with my pillow. Now it is less big and a lot softer and fits between the bolsters. Seems very similar to your pillow and feels a lot better.

Only downside is that I notice the bolsters don't hug me as much using a lumbar support, so bracing on them when turning isn't as effective. Might just keep this thing in my car for long trips and learn to live without it most times for more enjoyment while driving.

This may have been addressed. But I tried to sift through all of these responses and I didn't see it. Is the seat cushion, the part where our but actually contacts the seat, any different between the ZCP and non-competition seats? From my understanding it is not. Although I'm not positive about that. I'm skinny and have a bony butt, and a little extra cushion on the actual seat surface would be nice. Rarely if I'm driving a very long distance Ill actually sit on a question.

I have a 2016 non-ZCP M4 and my wife has a 2018 ZCP. I just went out and checked both cars in the garage. The seat bottoms seem to be the same to me. The bottom side bolsters might be slightly higher towards the front and/or firmer in the ZCP, but they're pretty close. Any difference might be because the M4 is two years older.

That might be my favorite interior. I love a dark brown. I had saddle brown on my 340, which was nice, but my wife as Java in her infiniti and it's beautiful.

So awesome, I dont suppose you could PM me some more pics of the interior could you?

We just sent off a request to BMW NA for Daytona Violet + Cohiba individual combo, but having a hard time visualizing it.

On topic after driving a loaner M4 comp car for a couple of days they feel ok to me, 6'2 and ~200lbs. If I was any wider I think they might bother me though.

After some time with these seats I am finding them surprisingly comfortable. At first I was very bothered by the lack of lumbar, but however I have my seat set up now, i'm actually feeling some pressure on my lumbar area, so it seems to be supporting it. Or now my back is more arched because of these seats in a bad way...lol.

One thing I did a bit differently that may help some folks out is that I actually have the seat slid forward a bit, so that my legs can fall to the side. This allows the outside of my hamstring to rest against the seat and I think this is providing the additional support I was looking for. My knee even rests against the center console a bit sometimes.

I would say it really depends on the duration of the drive. In my opinion these CP seats are great for short trips (1-3 hrs). Last year I drove approximately 10 hrs from the Philadelphia area to the BMW performance driving center in SC and I could feel my back stiffening up. We stopped 2-3x to stretch & gas up. So, they're great for short (1-3 hr) spirited drives, but tough on longer drives.

The seats don't suit me so good. I'm 5,9" and a bit wide at my back so my upper body gets pushed forward a Little because of that. I had a lumbar support made by my Carpenter and that helps but it's not perfect. I bought the GTS Euro seats and i sit much better in these, even that they are fixed back seats.

They are just as comfortable as the regular seats, assuming you find the regular seats comfortable.

I wish the downwards adjustment range had one more inch (2.54 centimeters). That’s the difference I notice from the base seats. Want to set it just a little lower for it to feel just right for me.

Never had any comfort issues with these seats: road trip from Toronto to Dallas (TX) round trip, and did not have any discomfort, pains or whatever.

Guess you don't have dem wide hips.

I drove from San Fran to NM and while not terrible I was definitely getting some sore spots when parts of me pushed on the bolster for too long.

Im not fat or anything either. Maybe cause I'm tall and my leg couldnt rest straight out and had to be bent and rest against the side? If I was short it would probably have been ok.

When I get off from driving to work my back hurts. Maybe I need to get used to it.
