While I don't consider the GLA45 a hot hatch, I will say of the SUV's out there it is the most hatch like. Probably because it's literally just an A-Class with cladding and a raised ride height. I always forget how small and low to the ground they are. Probably a lot of fun to drive too.

Yeah MB screwed the pooch with the new MY GLA45s but everything prior is money in terms of styling.

those GLA like cars are the poorest designs, no room in the back or the trunk. Just don't understand why folks buy them. I guess if you are single it's ok.

Its a strong segment, MB sold about 50k GLA and GLB's last year, which was double that of an X1 and X2 as well as the Audi Q3. |

Can't even complain about the GLA/B as long as we don't get a 2nd gen of this.

x1 is ok for an entry level but x2 is junk. I've seen one x2 on the road. I drove x1 as a loaner and it's not worth the bmw badge. |

I also would take any Benz over BMW atm if it was down to the two brands.

The RS3 produces plenty of power, an that 5 cylinder is such a great engine, but the interior is a bit underwhelming and somewhat boring. Even some of the exterior cues are boring, but it does produce plenty of power. I would have no problem putting down 50K on a VW hatch that produces 400hp.

(1.) Turn down the volume on the 3/4-series (2.) Turn up the volume on the 1/2-series (3.) 3/4-series LCI refresh with "heritage" look option (4.) LCI 1/2-series farther away from kidney failure (5.) Early 3/4-series redesigned platform release Huh. Not a bad plan if BMW can stay solvent and not permanently lose 50% of their customers in the meantime. |

Illuminated front star is an option, it did on my wife's 2015 but doesn't on her 2018. 45 is smaller than the Macan and I don't think anyone was talking about the 35 which isn't even a true AMG like the 45 is. Same vein as c43 and c63 IIRC. "AMG enhanced." GLA45: 172" L x 70" W x 56" H Macan: 185″ L x 76″ W x 63-64″ H |

If so, do the low-cost premium models start to disappear? |

140 (186 for urban driving) miles range but hey, might work out to and from work/store for those who have low income or don't want to spend too much money on a car as it is ~£20k |

As EV deliveries continue to scale and materials/parts costs continue to fall, you can see the low cost market being overrun by these more/less disposable/recyclable vehicles and/OR mobility services. I don't understand Toyota's EV positioning - their market is reliable cars ... if all future vehicles are reliable, cheap, and recyclable where is Toyota's niche? Hyundai/Kia is gonna eat Toyota's lunch by replacing their ole-reliable value product with an emotionally-driven value product. |
