Question custom EL midpipe or is there any catted mid pipe out there?

hey guys ive been searching the last couple days for a catted mid pipe to (possibly) pair with the AA madmax 3-can valved catback exhaust. Is there anything like that out there or my only option is to custom make an Equal Length mid pipe that keeps the stock secondary cat?

if the answer is the latter, i would much appreciate some recommendations for a good exhaust shop around Orange County / Los Angeles / Sand Bernardino area.

TIA!

Looks like it. If you want to keep the secondaries then might as well just keep the stock and add an X-Pipe where the resonators are.

Best bang for your buck is VRSF Single Midpipe. Can't go wrong for $630 shipped, brand new.

What's your reasoning to keep the secondary cats?

You'll spend near 300+, if not more on hacking up your stock midpipe to replace the resonators with X-Pipes. Waste of time, money and effort.

Keep the primary cats and get a VRSF Single Midpipe and call it a day. The single midpipe paired with a good muffler sounds really good. Even if you don't get a aftermarket muffler, it still sounds good. Low and deep rumble.

The smell usually comes from catless downpipes. Secondary cats are post O2 sensor and won't affect smog. I have the aa single midpipe mated to zcp muffler and have no smell issues. The nice rumble and slight volume increase is just right.

i know that secondary cats don't affect o2 sensor, but I could smell the fume with oem dp and secondary cat removed on my old 335i. that's why my priority at the moment is to keep both main and 2nd cats, and see how it sounds with the AA madmax exhaust. If it sounds terrible then I might consider losing secondary cats.
