Did you ever find a way to read the FASTA data of the DME? I know you got the ones for the DKG..

Thanks for the offer, but I feel that unless a manual car hit those conditions, either the DME won’t log it, or it is hidden in a very special way. But if you want to share your FASTA data, you can PM it.

The car is scheduled to be back from ED on Monday, so I'll see if I can pull something next week.

No way !!! But if it is stored in the keyfob, that would mean the car transmitted it to the keyfob. During regular service visits, my SA would show me the faults (if any) stored on my keyfob, and the ones I saw corresponded to what I was able to retrieve with ISTA. So that would probably mean those specific type of events (max rpm, overrev,...) would only be stored if they triggered some fault?

Can you PM me with the procedure you ran to get the DCT/DKG FASTA data with tool32, as well as the ones you know of for the DME? I'd like to start digging through my car =)

@cookiesowns , the tool32 jobs are listed in every thread I post. As for FASTA Data, depending on which standalone ISTA version you are using, its highly likely you are using my NoFasta patch that disables FASTA collection to speed up basic vehicle test.
If you want FASTA data collected, you need to use the orig RheingoldSessionController.dll which is usually in the same folder as the NoFasta one. To analyze FASTA Data is very difficult for most ... |

Hi all, i am happy to have found tech gurus here. I am struggling to find informations about this Fasta data. So are they first store in the ecu? And then send to the keyfob with wireless protocol?
And then ISTA can fetch the data as xml files that the protocol viewer make them human readable? When you go to a dealer is he able to read data only by using the keyfob? I am not sure to have understood the flow, if you could please explain a bit. Thanks! |
