One More New Member Thread
Seems like everyone's making new member threads here so I guess I will too.
Been looking for a fun sedan for a few years now, hovered over a few different choices before deciding on an M3. Nearly bought an RX-8 (twice), looked hard at the Quadrifoglio but couldn't stomach an automatic, considered an XJR for a while 'because luxury', and eventually settled on an M3 because it wrapped up just about everything I was looking for and was available with a manual. After a few months of searching I found the right M3. 2018, 10k miles, Tanzanite over Sakhir, manual, comp, exec, and pretty much every other option aside from full leather and carbon brakes. I was lucky that it was close enough that I could drive it home. Five hours on the highway convinced me to unplug the fake sound ASAP, found a DIY on this forum that was super helpful. Sometime this week I'll be pulling out the wireless charging dock that wastes all the center console space (with another helpful DIY). Aside from minor stuff like that it'll be staying stock, I'm nowhere near a good enough driver to need more performance than an M3 offers. It'll be a weekend/road trip car, my daily is a Toyota 86. Needless to say the M3 is a big upgrade in everything but weight (ok, and maybe shifter feel). |

Welcome to the 4 door 3 pedal family.
Look into an equal length exhaust solution unless you don't mind the stock sound

I typically do basic maintenance myself but eventually something more complicated will need done. I've thought about it, but I plan on using the car for a lot of road trips, and aftermarket exhausts tend to sound great when you want to hear them but drone pretty badly on the highway. |

Another tanzanite over sunroof, welcome!!
I would've loved my car's spec but with carbon roof, although I really do use the sunroof every day; and love it! Congrats and enjoy!! |

It's the midpipe, sounds like stock on long trips with the valves closed. I jokingly said that because a few of us here think that the stock S55 sounds bad.

Congrats! Nice find, and with low mileage I hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Sounds like we have a lot of the same specs except interior color, and I couldn't be happier with mine after owning for a couple years now.
