Comp: seats, wheels, sway bars, coding.
Most change wheels and coding. Leftover: sway bars and seats. I changed rear sway bar, have same front and rear as GTS now. I’m left with seats. Don’t see the biiiiiiiiiig difference. Just get edc and you’re good. Too many people love what they have more than they should. |

The wheels will make the biggest difference.
I had a non-comp and now drive a comp. The comp is definitely stiffer, but I think the ride quality is much improved. I run 20's in the summer and 18's in the winter. The difference is night and day. The stiffness is still there, but the 18's are significantly less jarring on harsh roads. |

Actually, this car did have the adaptive suspension option. As I said, though, there was no comfort setting, only "eco", "sport" and "sport+". And I'm familiar with adaptive suspension, as I had it on my m235ix, and also ahve it on my current SUV, an X3 m40i.

There have been no variations since launch of the base model and continued for the CP. There is no such thing as an ‘eco’ setting for suspension !

Thought I wanted comp but 18s transformed this car for me, and I prefer non-comp seats. YMMV, so you need to test drive....and not let ego or other people's preferences influence you |

I've owned 2 M4's. Both adaptive suspension. My 2015 was a non-comp running 19's. My 2018 is a comp with the factory 20's.
The comp is stiff/harsh. But not overly so. I set the M1 button to put the suspension in comfort. It's about the same as the non-comp in the default sport setting. |
