I just moved to Florida, so no more inspections needed!
When I was at the Florida DMV the girl asked me for Sex and to Race! (Sex?...I'm not too old. Race?...on weekends...and then something about my eyes...)

I'm going catless soon...
Just bought a set of AA DP, so you going to tell me there's no tune to bypass this CEL, so when I go for an inspection I won't pass? 🤔🤌🏼 |

But again I have to look more, I use to go crazy with my Audi's/Vw days. But hoping I can bypass this all at once. |

Just wanted to chime in here and let everyone know this works in MA as I just passed inspection this morning. I am running vrsf catless downpipes with no secondary cats. I stacked two spacers on the downstream o2 sensors, flashed back to stock and left the dme unlocked. I then used the tool/app OP recommended to check the status of my monitors and after about 100 miles of driving all were listed as passed. EVAP took the longest to reset for me. +1 for not dealing with installing stock downpipes for every inspection

@Nicky_D when you run a tune with these defoulers on did you log BM3 to see if the lower O2 sensor readings affect the power availability (pull timing due to lambda off)?

Just wanted to mention this method just worked for me in Missouri, my county is one of only a few that requires emissions testing in Missouri and we're allowed up to just one not ready monitor, I was able to get them all ready except for the EVAP. Thanks

Lol, you won't pass due to visual aspect of the inspection. Looking for stock main cats and mid-pipe cats. Some may not make a big deal of mid-pipe cats but main's they will.

Nothing at all, just try it and see what happens that's what I meant. It can go either way but I wouldn't chance it. Yes the covers are there but they still look as they have diagrams of the emission system/exhaust available for each model vehicle to them. Some tech's are Johnny on the spot and will fail you and some are lenient to certain extent.
By the way I can see my cats from the top with a flash light with no issues.

Just wanted to take a minute and say THANK YOU to this thread.!
It’s great when i can share something with the BMW community, but even more gratifying when I takeaway something from you guys. This thread gave some incredibly “useful tips” (won’t say which ones I followed) such as helpful apps to download, clearing codes, getting the car in a “ready state” etc… BimmerLink, along with the Car Scanner App mentioned earlier in the thread ,worked flawlessly with the Veepeak adapter to find the “sweet spot” when things were good to test. Thanks again BMW family.
