Yeah I figured mine was kind of an oddball spec. Base model F82 m/t with a sunroof, full leather dash, hud and some very random specifics. I love having a sunroof though and use it all the time.
I'm not worried about the weight, i'll just make more power lol.

I can't see the sunroof making any effect. All Audi RS models have a panoramic roofs which are even larger than ours.

i mean we all aint race car drivers. i know some are. for me I boight the f80 mostly on aesthetics and 6mt. since aesthetics is important i went cf roof.
however a sunroof would have looked just as well. in fact sometimes the CF roof blends into the tints winshield and rear and flattens the profile. roast me because my avg speed is 23 mph |

Holy smokes, two pages of replies! I didn't get any emails in my inbox notifying me of any replies (like with other forums), so I figured it was *crickets* in here... My mistake!
OK, so sounds like they're some here and there, but that variant is not super-prevalent. I guess I'll just have to keep tabs on the classifieds when the time comes, and make sure the "right one" doesn't slip through the cracks... I have an '06 325i currently, and it has a sunroof -- and I can't get myself to forfeit that joy for saving 50-100 pounds. I use it almost every single time I drive the car, even when things get crisp or toasty. It's an absolute joy to open all four windows and sunroof concurrently. I was also wondering about the convertible as an option, but looks like that one's 800 lbs heavier and I couldn't just close the top willy-nilly. So as neat as that may seem on paper, I think keeping my eyes peeled for a well-cared-for 6-sp sunroof'd F82 will be the better option! |

Here in Bay Area weather is similar-ish to Central Coast and love my sunroof use it everyday. Much prefer near year round 60-70° fresh air than the climate control.
If I lived in AZ of FL probably would have gone with carbon roof because I’d be desperate to stay cool with AC

Yeah, some guys want to optimize the cars center of gravity on the track.
Then there are those that just want a hot chick in the front seat with the roof open.
