I would stay away from this Seller. I bought a set off him, took like 50 days to arrive. Then notice one side drl is dimmer after install. So he sent me a new module which took almost another month.

The new module didnt do anything and now I have passed buyers protection. And he is not cooperating.

Sounds like there are still some kinks to sort out. Looking forward to a V2 product or fix for this.

Strange, mine came with silica bags already sealed in the lights

My final thoughts after having these for around 7 months.

I'm not recommending these lights. While my experience was decent and the only issue I suffer from is battery drain I'm seeing too many bad situations.

If anyone stumbles across this post and are considering buying the lights consider the possible faults.

- Battery drain (seems very likely with Xenon users)
- Leaking seals
- Bad modules
- Lose adaptive functions (This will happen and you'll need to pay to have the error coded out)

+ They do look good (If you get a good set) and are sub $1000 on
Aliexpress. If you do consider getting these make sure you keep your
original lights.

Final Thoughts:

Pass on them, wait for a potential V2 or spend the cash and get OEM. I'm not providing the link for my seller as a user and possible multiple users had a bad experience so stop asking me for that.

I second this. I would also add a few more negatives (despite only experiencing the battery drain in addition to below). I went with AKD, messaged the seller about battery drain and was ghosted from then on.

-mediocre DRL angel eye light output

-installation requires stressing the factory passenger wiring loom to the max to reach the light's plug in, also resulting in making it easy to accidentally unplug or damage when working in the area.

Positive are of course looks, price and low beam + high beam light output

Sorry that you guys are having problems with these lights.

Aftermarket is ALWAYS a compromise.

1 large is 1 large and I would pay that just to not have to crawl around my garage and remount these lights again! haha!

Save your money, buy the Euro spec from Marius, and a late model clockspring.
Enjoy the improved optics, actual adaptiveness, AND looks without the hassle.

This is interesting. I've seen a bunch of youtubers that have gotten their IKON style lights from more reputable resellers (e.g. cencal, westcoast euros, bayoptiks) and wonder if they are experiencing the same issues mentioned above.

I know a lot of these people are getting the lights for free, but I can't imagine the more reputable vendors are selling lights with these caveats...

They definitely look the same, but I wonder if they are actually the same?

Wouldn’t be surprised if all of those vendors bought from the same wholesaler in china. As good as these lights look I’m gonna wait for an update on these issues

All I gotta say is, I'm truly disappointed in him for even installing this on his car, even if he did get it for free.

I’m surprised he didn’t just go for OEM ikons considering he got those for his GTS. We’ll have to see if he keeps it transparent and honest if he does have any issues (assuming he got them for free)

I spoke to a user who was having the same issues with a bayoptik set. So I imagine they are all the same.

It's all the same. That's all that most BMW aftermarket parts companies do. They all buy from Chinese companies off Ali (all to varying quality) and then they resell at a premium. You shouldn't be paying anything more than 1200 for these. And that's on the high end. The current best version is the Reprint version.

I personally haven't had any power drain issues related to the headlights as I've had one with comfort Access since before installing the headlights. The speed of drain did not increase for me after further investigation.
