305/35r19 Fitment on F8x
Just figured I’d make this post since I’m sure there’s always people out there asking questions about fitment.
My car is moderately lowered with KW DDC, and I don’t have any rubbing problems at all. The rear wheels are 19x10et42 (stock wheel and offset is 19x10et40), which means that those of you with stock wheels will be able to run 305/35’s without problems. This is a 27.4in diameter tire! Also just as a PSA, tire rack has these on clearance for $245 each (8 left at the time of this post) so I figured I’d pick up a set. I haven’t gotten them super hot yet, and they already grip better than the Cup 2’s I was coming off of.

Hey quick question, are you lowered at all? And what did you run in the front? Needed camber?

I've run various front tire sizes between 255/35r19, 275/30r19, and now currently 265/35r19. I now run 295/30r19 in the rear.

Although a 305 may fit on a 10” wide wheel, the 10” wheel doesn’t provide sufficient support to a 305. 285 is what’s ideal for a 10” wheel while a 305 is best on an 11” wheel. Also, a 305/35 is going to have a measurable effect on the overall final drive of each gear, resulting in a lower numerical final drive (easy to calculate; reduced acceleration in each gear). Additionally, the R888R is a terrible track tire. Just ask anyone who’s been tracking for a while. It can be very unsafe on track. Lastly, a 305 on a 10” wheel, will result in snap oversteer without warning at the limit.
