This is one of the most commonly used wheel setups on the f8x. The rear 19x11et44 works with stock and aftermarket suspension setups. The front 19x10et25 may require a 5 mm spacer to clear different suspension setups.

Spoke to several people that are very knowledgeable as well as Bimmerworld who setup my coilover system.
They both suggested that a 265 35 could work on the front but the 275 30 would give a larger contact patch and would help with the tight clearances up front.

I will report back on the tires as i put more miles on them. So far they are very stiff and direct.

You are correct sir!!!!
I had a 5mm spacer ready to go on the front, but i didn't need it. My concern was the clearance between the spring perch and the tire....but we had a little bit of wiggle room once it got all bolted up.

So 18x10et22 (or et25) will work up front on stock suspension with lowering springs running a 265/35 tire WITHOUT rubbing? I'm in the process of purchasing wheels & I'm contemplating running 18x10et22 or 18x9.5et20 up front. I'd prefer the x10 setup but I see a lot of companies offering x9.5 (Volks, BBS, etc) options for these cars for suspension clearance I assume. Eventually I'll switch to coils with camber plates

18x10et25-22 with a 265/35 on stock suspension should have sufficient clearance with zero rubbing. A 275/35 on 18” wheels is another option. However, you’ll likely have to use a heat gun to reshape the front fender liner to reduce/eliminate rubbing as you increase steering angle. Certain aftermarket suspensions will need a 5 mm spacer on the 10et25 or a 3 mm spacer no one offers a 2 mm spacer ) on the 10et22. A commonly used front track setup is a 10.5et35 with a 15-18 mm spacer and a 285/35 or 295/30 on certain suspension setups (e.g, MCS 2WR or 3WR with a 5” long 800 lbf/in main spring + helper spring & -3.5 to -4.0 deg of camber). 18x9.5et20 with a 265/35 works with stock and aftermarket suspensions with no rubbing. My front track setup is 18x10.5et35 with 15 mm spacer & 295/30 and my front street setup is 19x9.5et22 & 275/35.
