Going to powdercoat wheels all black- satin/gloss/flat?

What do people think? I was leaning towards gloss or satin? Anyone have any advice or pics?
TIA!

Satin looks best.

Plastic Dip is rubber. When the wheel is wet, it retains moisture which cause vibration at highway speed. If you've never experienced this, you're not going fast enough.

Second, Plastidip is a temp solution. It does chip and it is not as easy as it seems to come off (especially if you prepped the surface really well). I thought PlastiDip was cool until I tried it. It chips very easily, even with 6 coats. Not a fan and will never use that crap on a $60k+ car.

My vote goes to Satin. It's a little bit more unique compared to gloss and a little more "clean" compared to full matte. Though, the gloss might better match the OE black accents.

Another thing to consider is that satin may show fewer blemishes. With gloss black (just like on a black car) swirl marks, streaks, etc are much more apparent.

Here is an example of our Flow Form VMR V810 in both finishes :

Gloss

Satin

Are they the 18s or 19s? My vote either way is satin but I'm just curious.

Add me for +1 to the Satin vote!

That way when your car is extra shiny, the satin can give it a slight contrast to it.

Satin looks the best. I like the OEM gloss black wheels, it looks good when its clean. But it is a pain to keep it staying clean...
