My heart is with you though xD.

Currently I'm dealing with a crappy job that was done by a tint shop. I got a ticket for having illegal tint and paid for it. When I tried to talk to the installer, he was trying his best to avoid me.

I just hope you will get what you deserve eventually. Best of luck.
thanks and best of luck to you as well

In a perfect world, Powaup would go get a wild turkey (or few) and use it to flog the Panel Craft employees' cars.

He'd also be able to put the Geico rep in an isolation cell for the same amount of time he's wasted on this whole shit-ka-bob.

If you want car advice, get it from the nuttiest of the car nuts!

The signal-to-noise ration on self-reporting non-enthusiast review sites is just way too low.
Half of the positive reviews are from the owners of those same establishments, or some service the owner pays to drum up positive "social following"....

BMW doesn't.
Many local independently owned BMW dealerships do.
Few of those centers are good, most are average, a few are bottom dwellers. I would not run to a BMW dealer body shop just because it is affiliated with a dealership.

You really need to do your homework when picking suppliers !

Some BMW dealerships has their personal Collision Center (my dealership does actually.)

But yes, most don't. And also, almost all dealerships send out their tint/detailing job to a place they 100% trust for quality and work.

When I lived in the bay area, I had my e90 repaired at Costelli and Pardini in San Mateo http://www.costelliandpardini.com/

Wife had backed into a wall in parking garaged and scratched up the passenger side door.

This shop is where Peter Pan BMW outsourced to at the time, and I did not have any issues at lease end.

It's important to find this kind of shop (I found it through the E90 post forums) and other new BMW owners and dealers use, or go to a BMW certified collision center.

This is good to know. I was hoping my car would be done this Friday or the following Tuesday (2 weeks after work started) but now they're telling me they're aiming for next Friday. Turns out it's the same day I'm getting surgery so I won't even be able to drive that weekend... I'm about to cross the line where this car has brought more stress in my life than pleasure

Honestly it sucks when it happens.

But you'll be glad when you get her back in your garage and not allow dumbasses to touch the car again.

And hope you don't run into anymore wild turkeys

At least enough to cover the deductible and any additional expense or price a new door and charge 90% of that.

Deductible is $500 and I had to chip in $210 to get my door fixed (because they were nickel and diming) I think $710 is a fair price for the door after all they've put me through

What is not good for you is all the additional damage caused. I had that as well. Which is why hitting their shop ins is going to be key. All the crap they damaged will likely show as part of the car fax. Check to see if your state allows it. If you are not sure PM me and I can give you the name of the firm I used. They will know.
Looks like no diminished value claim for me only in GA, WA and Kansas can one collect from his own Policy's collision coverage
