I guarantee it would attact Less attention and temptation than an exposed YMB. I used a pretty beat up oversized car cover before. I live in Los Angeles and used to help my ex girl friend and her moms biz located in central LA infamous for the LA riots. . Cant be any more "hood" than that in L.A. Did that for months. I actually even employed a bum to keep an eye on my car for added protection. Lol.

AW and I love the anonymity until they hear the exhaust, then heads turn. If I want to lay low... efficiency mode and I'm just a regular 3 series to the average person until they bother to notice the badge.

MG here. I usually get no attention unless I'm in a parking lot.
Then it's another car guy saying nice ride and wanting to know the stats on the car as well as how much everything costs. I like flying under the radar cause I tend to always prefer a spirited driving style. Don't look at me, nothing to see here po-po!!

Adding this info.
Just went to get gas this evening and when I pulled up there was a young woman (no older the 25) in a cropped shirt and skinny jeans. She could see her looking at my car to the point of stretching forward over her car to get a better look. I catch her eye and she says she really likes the color and how did I get it. She was surprised to know it was a stock color and proceeded to ask what other interesting colors you could get. I mentioned YMB and SO and described them. She liked the idea but said AY was still seemed like the best of the three. She then kept looking at the car and complimenting me on it until I had to go on my way. Just thought everyone should know that sometimes girls/women do look at and appreciate the M3. Score one for AY.

BSM- and enough. I was so close to getting YMB and although I still love looking at it, I couldn't handle more looks/attention than my BSM. It's relative to how much attention is enough for some of us rather than others.

MW. I commute to work to New York City. Tons of attention. Especially tourists taking snaps and pointing and turning heads. My plates read AM4ZING and that def adds to it. Honestly I get daily attention from either boy racers or head turns to thumbs up or how much power remarks. My moment of pride was when a Shelby GT350R pulled to side of me at a gas station. He said what a beauty and I replied "yes your car is epic". He's like "no dude I love your M".

This an untouched picture on an overcast day: Sunny day: Mixed conditions As you can see it looks nothing like the picture you posted which has been messed with, but mine look different as well due to the light conditions.

I love the more deep blue side of the YMB but less of the smurf, light pale blue. Very hard to decide between YMB or AY right now. |

In the sun: youthful, trendy, cool. In darker conditions: the beautiful rich deep (but still on the "light" side of the blue spectrum) blue you mentioned. Have yet to see the smurf pale look.

To be fair, there are times I don't like my AY as much. It can look too green at times. My favorite is the gold/yellow tone it takes on, especially after it's just been washed.

I have a Frozen Red M3. When I'm not driving, the questions are usually limited to how it's matte, how to take care of it, etc.
When I'm driving on the highway there's always at least one driver who feels the need to floor it right past me even if they're driving a beat up Nissan Altima. Today I had a 2015 Mustang fly past at ~100-110MPH after following me for a while. Also got a thumbs up from a biker that was pretty cool. |

So, the first week I had my AY M4 I got a lot of attention - thumbs up, etc and someone came up through their sunroof from the backseat of a car to yell...something and the occasional person taking vid/pic from their car
Now, its a different story - I don't get near the attention I used to. Its sporadic at most. Its probably the area I'm in - DC metro/Bethesda/Central MD - lots of nice cars around here, an M4 just fits in.

Maybe it's just me, but I saw an AW M4 leaving a dealership near my house, on my way home from work, and it definitely caught my eye... It was at dusk, so maybe it was the way the light hit it?
