You should be all set. I assume you gave your CA 3 dates in order of preference. I would say you will hear back this week or you can give your CA a call next week if you haven't heard anything.

the residuals up/down are used by the company to achieve target sales volumes.

When there is a lot of demand, lower residuals are used meaning more profit for the company. When demand is lower and you need to spike demand, incentivize with a higher residual/lower MF.

That's what I thought about the three days too. Instead he wanted the exact date and time of ED pickup, as well as date and location of drop off so I gave one exact date to him. Then in half an hour he called back saying done!

He mentioned something about switching things around with his other customers. My plan is to wait a week for the order to populate the system then call back and check.

Also dowdlemj it's very common for a manufacturer to try and push last years models off the lot. That's why you see many end of year lease and incentive specials that only apply to the outgoing model year. Best you can do for 2016 is make an x over invoice price deal and hope the residuals don't suck.

mso4 if you have the production number, you can call BMW ED yourself and get confirmation. PM me if you need the number.

Guys,

a dealership sent me a quote for a car. Although the document says 03/31/2015, we signed it in April. I also completed my application in April. I need to take ED of the car in late June. Also, since I signed in April (in a NE state), I understand that my rates will be locked in until my required date.

My question is:
I cannot make our numbers match and wanted to know if you think they used the March MF and residual rates? Will the system permit them to do that or will it force them to use April rates?

Have a question, in GA we have TAVT which means you pay sales tax once and no ad valorem tax on renewal , if i lease a car will i have to pay the 7% sales tax upfront on the purchase price of the car because lease will be for a period of 3 yrs and i may or may not buy back the car after 3 years.

If you sent your credit app in March, then your locked into March numbers which are much better than April.

You can ask for those numbers. Ask you for MF, Residual, Sale Price, and Fees

I sent my credit app April 2nd. But even if I do get the March numbers, which are better, I think the locked in period would theoretically end May 31st... and I need to sign the paper by mid June. So I guess I just answered my own question. Regardless of whether what the numbers are, it does not matter. At the time of signing, in June, BMW will refuse to grant mi old application and force me to reapply for credit... Hope I am getting it right

Yea your good until the end of May. April 2nd was still March numbers. The numbers go in a couple days into the next month.

When does your car arrive? If it arrives early June, just sign May 31st

I though March numbers ended on March 31st. I started dealing with my dealer on April 1st and he gave me April numbers. He had the day off on the 2nd so I didn't turn in my application until the 3rd. Does that mean had I had him come in and do my paperwork on the 2nd (he offered) I could have had March numbers?

I'm not 100% sure but I know in the past that the numbers from the previous month bleed into the next month to make sure the people that come in late on the 31st still have time to file the paperwork. Like a grace period.

It arrives the very last day of June, in Germany. So I think I am better off signing mid June.

Maybe GOLFR can help with this particular issue...

My CA said I was approved in April, so the number were the April numbers. I won't push on this issue because what he is saying makes sense...

Yes but in GA you can do owners choice so if you decide to buyout at the end of the term you don't have to pay tax again.

EDIT: Disregard, I found it...

Can someone just tell me what the base invoice price w/o options is for the M4? I know the base MSRP price is 64,200 before D&H, but I see conflicting data on the invoice price of the M4 at base itself.

I have the info I need for invoice vs. msrp for the options.

thats the problem as i most likely wont buy the car as residual value is pretty high and will have to pay full amount of sales tax now , is there an option not to do that?

I see you are in GA, which dealer you bought your M from ? Any contacts ?

Your car should be here around 2nd week of June. Yours numbers are good from march 31st to May 31st. Unless you sign may 31st, you will need to either lock in April/May/June numbers.

By may 31st you should have a pretty good idea of when its arriving. It would be worth it to sign 2 weeks earlier and keep your March numbers unless the numbers get better (Which I doubt). April numbers would have made me 21$ more a month than March or $756 over 36 months.
