am i reading this right

Is it just my faulty interpretation or has the Elektra been in a holding pattern 30 miles out for the last 12 plus hours? (at anchor- must be waiting for a spot, this is probably normal if it's waiting for a spot?)

Yes. ports are absolute insanity. Not only do they sometimes have to wait for a place to moor, but 99% of the traffic going in and out of these ports requires the use of a pilot and/or tugs. That being said, there is typically a buoy or navigational aid that the port authority will use as a "meeting point" and then a pilot will embark. This almost always gets screwed up and then the pilot pickup times get pushed to the right. This is not abnormal and usually the ships can make up time by increasing speed across the pond or being more efficient while in port.

How can you confirm your car docking on Elektra besides the words from the 800# representative?

Woohoo, I'm on Elektra too! That's 3 from our group so far. Cool that our cars are following the same journey from the Welt all the way to Port. Maybe we should have a delivery day celebration, lol.

Just entered my VIN and confirmed that I am on the Elektra as well. Looks like it's departing a day early (11-July now) and arriving into California a day later (7-August).
My car is going to need some work done at the VPC, so hopefully it won't take til September before I see it.

My update on the 1-800 number is that my vehicle is at the port of exit waiting for a shipping vessel. When I spoke to a person for a better update she told me that she's unable to see what boat i'll be on until the time it actually makes it onto a boat. I then asked her if she could at least tell me what port in Germany it's at, and she said that information wasn't available either. How are all of you confirming the exact boat you cars will be transported on? I'm just hoping it makes it onto something soon and doesn't sit for weeks like I've seen happen to a lot of folks on these forums.

Also, can someone tell me what the port is that the cars go to before shipping out from Germany? I'm just curious.

Hmmm...just tried that and it said no records found. Maybe that means i'm not getting on the next boat?
