I'd be very interested in this, it sounds like a lot of fun and would be a good way for people that are new at Euro Delivery to go and have a good time, taking advantage of the knowledge of more experienced EDers.

Only problem I have is I haven't found anywhere to preorder/waitlist one yet...


Just got a response from one of my local dealers...

The M4 is slated for production sometime in March/April which would mean June arrival. Sometimes BMW is a bit slower with the release of a new generation, especially with the M series so I would not be suprised if production was a few weeks slower. As for production slots for US and Euro, they will be separate and in most cases, Euro is bit behind for avaibility. I will need to check. For M-cars, allocation is taken from US dealerships for Euro Delivery which means we will most likely not do any Euro Delivery for the M3/M4 for a little bit.

We do have a waitlist right now for both the M3 and M4. The deposit is $5000.00 to be put on the list.

Grr... that's BS. Also, $5000 deposit is stupid.

Only thing is, I did the Ring last time and might take a different route afterwards this time. Absolutely gorgeous experience and I recommend doing it for anyone who hasn't done it before. I stayed at hotel an der Nordschleife if anyone wants recommendations for a place to stay at - they even have covered parking garages (sort of 'pods').

Big thanks to Adrian at BMW of South Atlanta - my second ED M car with him in as many years and he's been an absolute class act to work with.

We are finally ready to begin formal Group ED activities. Please be sure to check out the updated lead post in this thread for both new and critical information needed ASAP from you to be a part of our Group ED experience and with everything you need to know to get started. I will begin submitting names to BMW NA on Monday Jan 6th with first proposal! List will remain open indefinitely until list is closed with all spots filled by buyers with assigned allocations and verifiable orders. Look forward to possibly having you join the special event! Nothing is official or holds you to any committment until your actual ED order is confirmed! Look forward to hearing from you all and names are already coming in.

I think it should be mentioned that the group Delivery might happen in July. All we've heard from Jason is that ED deliveries will begin very early summer and Summer begins June 21th. Also, I did not reserve a spot at my dealership because my guy there told me it was not necessary right this moment (was at the dealership a week ago). Will I still be able to sign up for the group ED if I don't have a deposit down at the moment?

No worries Powaup. Just send me all the info you can at this time as listed In updated post. I do not require confirmation that a deposit is made nor is it required. At some point program would want to confirm that your dealer contact has you in his queue for an order. Relationships with dealers vary depending on your history for sure. I have the #1 spot for mine and do not have to put up any money to hold spot.

In regards to ED date, as I mentioned in Disclaimer. Dates and times are subject to change once we have firm confirmation of timing. I will continue to update and keep post current as new info arrives. Thanks for feedback!

What dealer is that? Seattle dealers have always been clueless when it comes to ED. Contact me if you need some help I will get you in touch with the right people.

Having said all of that, don't expect any good deals locally until couple of months after the car is released.

Hahn BMW in Yakima is always a great dealer to work with against our locals.
