Burble Settings

Hey all!

I'm installing BM3 tonight and going for Stage 1, Also going to do the GTS flash.

What burble settings is recommended? I have a stock M4, with original exhausts. I want to increase the burbles and sound a little more. Nothing crazy but I want it to be noticeably changed.

I would say another 30/40% sort of thing.

Any settings you'd recommend? Or any standard pre made settings I should use?

cheers all!

A lot of people don’t like them I know…

I’ve just installed Stage 1, 91 and haven’t touched the burbles as they’re already so much more apparent and exhaust is much louder already.

Does anyone have any idea what they’re on by just installing stage 1?

OTS setting. If you dont want to hear them just put the car in efficient mode.

The difference probably isnt even noticeable, I went straight to OTS S2 tune and just left the the burbles alone so.......

Ahh fairs, to be honest, stage 1 is enough for me as not planning on changing anything physical on the car just yet.

Cheers for the info though!

Dont play around with burble settings too much or you will be flashing reflashing the car a ton to get less or more burbles. GTS burbles will prob be ideal if you want moderate burbles that aren't too much.

Thanks,
Yeah to be honest, I’ll probably leave it as it is!! Which I assume with the stage 1, it’s automatically set on GTS?

I am honestly not quite sure since I went from dinan stage 1 piggy back to BM3 stage 2 custom tune. So I skipped BM3s stage 1 part I would assume stage one once flashed may just have a standard mild burble, or atleast the option to choose start up with the GTS roar or not and Exhaust burble type allowing you to choose preset options.

Bootmod3 told me not to go over 6 for aggression with stock cats. They didn't say anything about duration.

Is that louder and more aggressive than the GTS or OTS burbles as standard?

I'm not totally sure but I think the GTS is the least loud vs the OTS. The one time I tried the GTS burbles it wasn't consistent. I typically run an e85 tune or a flex fuel tune and the one time I tried the GTS burbles one of the maps it sounded good so I put the GTS burbles on the other map and it was almost nonexistent so I put it back to custom.

Also if you have a midpipe it's gonna be louder and more pronounced so take that into account. I know a lot of people don't like burbles but to me it's not crazy loud unless you're high in the rpms and then the exhaust is being loud as well so it doesn't sound out of place to me or if you're under an overpass . Driving at low rpms there's hardly anything to be annoyed by IMO.

Come to think of it I may have just figured out why. I think it was because the multimap starts in map 1 and I'll bet I didn't change that map because I'd never run that one and forgot to change to map 3 initially. I may try it again as I did think it sounded good.
