I couldn't resist...it's so good for it to not have it's own thread

I went ahead and got the pure hf eu5 and I am a bit concerned, I have two tuners trying to dial the car in. It appears one is targeting way higher hpfp targets and the other seems to be targeting on the higher end of tq.

My concern is ignition timing under full load.

So you're getting tuned by PJ (Tuner1) and CJ (Tuner2) at the same time.

Firstly why are you doing both? Secondly if you have concerns have you brought them to your tuner first? Thirdly, what education do you have in tuning that brings about your concern about ignition timing under load?

Lastly I'll also mention it's odd if you're trying to compare the tuners that you posted a 3/4/5 gear log to a 1/2/3 gear log.

Maybe you can pick one tuner and vest in their education and experience?

indeed. i have a process now: 3rd gear burnout at 65mph to warm the R888R, then go time.

How many of you guys are running the nostrum hpfp? I can't decide between that and the liftkit.

This thread is great, but overwhelming

I tried going through this thread, and didn't want to make a new one. There's a ton of info in here and I got lost.

I'm pondering the idea of upgrading the turbos, and wanting to achieve around 750whp. Not sure what route to go (Pure stage 2 seems to be the favorite). But other than the turbos, what else would I need to do?

I'm just wanting to know what supporting modifications are a must/highly recommended.

I currently have:

ARM Cat less downpipe
VRSF Charge pipe
J Pipe (forgot manufacturer)
AA EL red mid
NGK Plugs
BM3 Flexfuel Kit
Vargas crankhub
Drop in filters
BM3 Stage 2 flexfuel tune.

Thank you, any info would be appreciated!

Once the lift kit came out I stopped hearing of guys buying HPFPs. I think it's the price point for same outcome.

I believe that Commander achieved his 800 with turbos, EU5, upgraded HPFPs and LPFP, E85 and a custom Bend/EcuTek tune.

Also the installation is OEM; I believe the bigger HPFP's have spacers and such that potentially might raise things up.

I got prices out for 2k on the hpfp plus 2 hours of labor for install, vs the 1400 for liftkit plus another 12 hours of labor .
You're also right they come with spacers giving them room to clear a few tight spots. I just haven't found anyone utilizing this setup with turbos and eu5 to see how they are doing.

You've a really good point on install time adding cost. I see how HPFPs would be a lower cost overall.

So no point in buying the expensive Nostrum HPFP when you can get the Dorch Lift Kit for cheaper with the same results? What about S63 EU5 vs the Nostrum stage 2 injectors?

From my understanding you get the same results from both with the exception of the lift kit being $1500 plus labor costs. Estimates on labor for the liftkit I received were from $2,100 up to almost $2,900 between $4000-$4,500 total

The hpfp is $2300 plus 2-3 hours of labor roughly under $500 in labor. Total under $3k[IMG][/IMG]

That seems high. I just got a quote yesterday (from EAS):

1,399 for the Dorch lift kit + 1,320 for installation = 2,719 installed

Nostrum twin HPFP kit is $3400 + install labor
Dorch Liftkit is $1400 + install labor

This is a monster price difference. I would assume the labor to install Dorch Lift kit would be cheaper as its much more simplistic. The Nostrum kit is much more involved with extra pieces.

That's the full kit at 3400, after speaking with them I just needed the hpfp since I have injectors already

I had to give them a call and spoke with nick and he explained it to me as their site does not have the option for those alone it would be a call and order type of deal
