unlocking all doors with handle pull
I'm coming from a 335i coupe to the 4 door F80 and far and away the most annoying thing I deal with on a daily basis is the unlocking of the doors. I jump out every morning at work and go to open the back door to get my bag only to find the back door is still locked. This happens every day ... lol. I can't train myself to push the unlock button on the center console before getting out. Is there a way in iDrive to change the door lock function to unlock all doors upon 2 handle pulls?

Hi OP, I find this annoying too. If the doors are set to lock after driving away then default is the doors will NOT unlock on engine off (requires two pulls of the inside handle to exit).
You can set the doors to unlock on Engine Off by coding the car: Unlock Door on Engine OFF (1 pull): 3040 -> CLM_UNLOCK_KL15OFF_AFTER_PIA_AUTO_LOCK set to: aktiv I have not coded my car yet - so not sure if this unlocks all doors or only the driver's door. I was disappointed the F80 does not come with the option to have all four doors with Comfort Access sensors. This would avoid the situation all together and simply unlock the rear door when grabbing the handle. Maybe a future generation will have Comfort Access on all four doors and we can leverage parts from it. See my previous post: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1078446 |
