Yas Marina Blue M3 - interior feedback?!!
I placed my order two weeks ago for an F80 YMB with black leather interior.
I really love the sakir orange Interior but I dont know if its going to be too much with ymb exterior. People that have it, do you love it or would you change it if you had the chance? People that dont have the ymb or have it but dont have the red interior, any feedback? As of now, i will keep it with black interior unless i can see one with red interior in person or if anyone has a video or pics of that combo, please post them. Thanks in advance. |

I went with the full black option on my YMB.
Black seems to have more mass market appeal, and will be easier to maintain I believe in the long run. You can't go wrong! SO was a bit too bright for me. |

There are a few members with the Superman color combo. IMO, looks pretty good; a lot better than I thought it would if I hadn't seen the pictures.
Black goes with everything ![]() Have you considered Silverstone interior? That is also a very nice combo with YMB; perhaps not as 'too much' as SO, especially in South Florida. |

Yes, black will definitely be easier to maintain. My friend has the m4 white with so interior and it is bright, but i just cant picture it with the ymb... :s

The silverstone interior is very nice, but with the sports i play etc it just seems like a color that would be damaged much faster than even the red. |

Im thinking about just adding the alcantara steering wheel with the blue stripe to give a little kick to the interior. Wish the interior stitching color had different options. |

For those considering Silverstone or beige, I highly recommend treating the leather with dye transfer protectant right after purchase.
My local auto detailer uses cquartz products, and they now have a product for leather specifically made to prevent dye transfer from jeans, etc. on to light-colored car leather. I used it on my Ivory leather in my 650GC and it's made care and maintenance much easier. ![]() |

Why don't you ask your dealer about black interior with contrasting stitching? It's not as plain as black, much rarer, and still not as loud as full Sakhir. You can even get Sakhir stitching! It's supposed to be less then 1g on top of the total.

I did ask my dealer to do the red stitching or blue but he didnt even give me the option to pay more for it. To me it would be perfect to have the black interior with the blue stitching or red.

Well your dealer is incorrect because the option exists. Tell him or her you want to price out individual stitching and you have confirmed knowledge it is possible because you are a member here on the forum. I have an Amaro Brown interior, which 90% of dealers probably don't know exists either!

Our F82 is YMB with silver stone interior. I'll be honest, it is a pain in the butt sometimes and you have to clean it much more often than you would a black interior however, everyone and I mean everyone that has seen it always complements it.
The bright interior just gives a certain vibe to the car, if you really dig it you won't mind spending the little extra time maintaining it. it does generally look like it wears out a little more than the others but that is just because its bright so you can see differences more easily, make no mistake it wears as much as any other color its just that the color makes it a tiny bit more apparent. For me it was honestly worth the extra time maintaining it because it just looked gorgeous but I guess thats a personal preference thing. In the end, whichever color you get just maintain it and you'll be fine. Pick the one you want the most. Edit: I also just came back from a local meet that had many GTRs a few BMWs and lambos and a fair amount of those drivers were complementing the Silver Stone interior. |
