Noob here with a question..

Hey folks Im not sure if I am in the right section but anyway my question is this. I am still in my break in period roughly 400 miles on my m4. I was on the highway doing about 40-50 mph and as I was downshifting from 5th to 4th I accidentally let go of the clutch to soon I guess. I kinda felt something weird in the shifter so I immediatly pushed the clutch back in and proceeded into 4th. I dont feel anything unusual at the moment after driving another 50-60 miles after that. Can I cause any harm by this happening? I never went over 4000 rpms and I baby my car. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey man - sounds like gear grind
"Mainly it's the metal teeth of the gear grinding against the drive-train spinning the opposite direction"
It's not good if it happens often but a one off is fine- Don't worry.

It looks like you just locked your self out of the gear so sounds like you didnt grind or harm anything
