Need help identifying leather/stitching option...
Hey everyone,
So I ordered my car yesterday optioned the following way: Mineral White Metallic Black Extended Leather with Carbon Fiber Trim Competition Package Executive Package Lighting Package Driver's Assistance Plus DCT CarPlay I'm concerned however that I may not have gotten the correct Leather Option for what I'm looking for. I'm looking to have an interior with this style of stitching on the seats/dash: What leather/stitching option is that? Is it just Full Merino Black? Or is that the "special request" style stitching BMW USA talks about in their order guide here?: Is that how it would look with Extended Leather? Or does that style of stitching only come on Full Leather? I'm trying to minimize costs as much as possible, but if Extended Leather doesn't have the Whitish or Silverstone stitching than I will call my dealer and have them switch it to Full. Thanks for any help you guys can provide. I just love the way that looks and want to have it on my 2017! ///Mike

From my understanding Full-Leather option is the only way to get upper & lower dash in leather. Otherwise it will just be plastic. Unfortunately I don't know enough about the stitching color.
The top-tier “Full Merino Leather” – vs. “Extended Merino Leather (premium pkg.)” adds the following: - Upper door panels in Walknappa Leather (Black). - Instrument panel/dashboard in Walknappa Leather (Black). - Lower dashboard in Merino and Walknappa Leather (Upholstery colour/Black). - Sun visors textured/anthracite. - Rear parcel shelf in anthracite. |

If you want the leather dash, you will have to select the Full Leather option.

Thanks for all the replies, so basically the white/silverstone or whatever the stitching is on the seats will be the same regardless, it's just the dash and door panels that are different with Full?
Thanks again, I know it's a kind of a noob question, I just wanted to make sure I get what I want. ///Mike

Repeating what others have already said.
Stitching on seats: Standard (any option) Stitching on dash: Full Leather (Required to get a leather dash) My stitching is actually a light grey. There is a chance that may be Silverstone or another White (Opal?) stitching which would be an individual option I believe. Not certain if ZCP standard stitching is different though. May also just be that it's new or just lighting for pictures. May just double check with the dealer if you are going to change to Full any way on what the stitching color is. Pics of my Non-ZCP Extended Merino Black for reference. No Leather dash. |
