How long do you leave your front Euro plate attached after Euro (Re)Delivery?
I did Euro Delivery last summer, I've had my M4 back in the US for about 6 months now, and for whatever reason I can't bring myself to take off the front Euro plate just yet. Constant reminder of an epic trip, great conversation starter, just looks cool...and maybe little bit of not wanting to deal with that double-sided tape, haha.
How long did you leave yours on after your car arrived home? Any concerns with possible damage to the bumper at this point? |

I left both plates on my last ED (Front & Rear) from 2014:
ED Vehicle Never Registrated for 3 yrs, lease turn in? http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho....php?t=1175585 As lease, I always keep the front plate on. Tried to remove it for my current M4 vert, but Ibiza'sWife told me it has to remain on as 'ED plate is a right of passage'.

Using that method I only had 2 small areas that stayed on. I took a paper towel, wetted it with rubbing alcohol, and held it on each spot for 30 seconds, then lightly scraped away with glue with my finger nail; came right off. |

My street driving style is not compatible with any excuses to get pulled over or to give me a ticket.
I've been pulled over multiple times (and approached in parking lots) with the, "I don't like what you're doing and if I see you doing it again I will follow you" I've also been pulled over with the rear Euro plate - luckily there was enough play in the State of CA registration process that local johnny had to settle for hassling me but ... had I been much outside of the registration and computer systems window, I'd have gotten a ticket for sure. So, yeah, this time the rear comes off as soon as I get my legal one. |

I left both of mine on and put the CA license over the ED plate on the rear. Left only ED on front. I do have a question as I plan on having Xpel put on front, Assume I should remove plate before that? Probably would not look right Xpeling over the plate.

I have both prior ED plates decorating my garage. What I left permanently on my cars was the vignettes (one from Switzerland on my 1st car, the other from Austria on my 2nd car).
Having the ED plates doesn't look right to me and could call more attention from the cops. No thanks. |

Both our cars have the front ED plates still on. We customized our NY state plates with the same letter/number combo as the ED plates. Johnny law hasn't had a problem yet and it's been over a year. Knock on wood.

I have had both plates on my car since July 2015 without any problems from the cops here in California. I'm doing another M3 ED this year and plan to take the front off temporarily while it gets clear bra'd. I like the look, actually.

FWIW, one thing that bugs me about the euro plates is they're temp plates, i.e., the orange bar on the right versus an actual EU plate with the blue bar on the left so ... I'll be fine removing mine

Had some tool in a Golf R with an EU plate on the front try to fuck with me yesterday. Asshole was swerving into my lane and kicking rocks up. I blew him away into triple digit speeds I can't help myself |

I thought about getting a custom plate for my state matching my ED plate so I could just use it "legally"... but I live near a small town where the jerk cops give you a ticket for having a plain, clear cover on your normal plate so I figured it wasn't worth the effort.
Still, fun to keep for track days and car shows!

@kechang I wanted to take the front plate off my current ED to show the beautiful Tanzanite Blue color, but Ibiza'sWife said it's a right of passage and the ED plate should stay on, but this means an other ED in 2020.
@e90-4aj and phoenx nice to see that others are leaving the rear on. Should post on my Bimmerfest thread above, as I have taken heat over there for leaving both on for 3 years.

I left my front plate on for approx 2 months until it got the clear bra. I procrastinated replacing the rear plate for another 6wks thereafter. I kept my MT plate readily handy and threw it up on the dash a few times when cops were following alongside. I was halfway curious what would occur with auto-tolls while in WA but thus far, unsurprisingly haven't seen a toll bill.

I only took mine off because the tape was losing it's adhesive and I didn't want to risk it falling off on it's own.

Does this mean ED plates are attached with tape? No holes?
