JB4 on a GTS M4?
I posted couple of questions over in the GTS section, but I figured, it's more Engine related...
Anyone with a GTS installed a JB4? Most everything I read on the JB4, it shows upgrades for the regular m3/m4... With GTS already pushing 22-23psi, would there be any benefit of this thing? I do like the app with the fancy gauges Thanks!

So the map 1 and 2 don't just raise the boost over the stock level already?

Based on the latest S55 firmware:
Map 1: +4 boost additive across the entire powerband Map 2: slightly more aggressive version of Map 1 (22 psi peak) https://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25401 |

Map 3: Slightly less aggressive version of map 1 intended for vehicles running on lower grade fuels such as 91 octane. That is the map I would suggest starting on with the GTS which already runs more boost in factory trim. |

on Map 1, for either CS or GTS, is it still a +4 additive, or is it based on the base M4 boost profile and then adds +4?
Does Map 6 additive work for them as well?

Honestly, I don't really care to do any custom tunes or flashing the ECU. I like this Piggyback mainly for the ease of use and the "Fancy app". Plus, it's pretty cheap for what you get. GTS is fast as is, can't even use the power I have without spinning tires. So my thing was really, getting a JB4 for the exhaust flaps, iPhone app, and then the hp... if any.

Yes exactly. Map6 can also be used for a custom profile. But I'd start with map3, log it, and post the log here or email to BMS directly for tuning advice based on your specific car, fuel, and needs!

Quick question for anyone that has jb4 with the mobile media kit... Can you switch exhaust flaps on/off through the app, or do you still have to use the BC button?
I guess what i'm wondering is, Even with the app, will I still have to use the steering wheel controls? Thanks!

Let's say I only want to add the JB4 as a boost additive on MAP after 6,000rpm (just to keep the HP curve rising in a linear way for added fun, but nothing over the top), in theory if all I did was drive between 2000-5000rpm for fun, it shouldn't alter any signals for the DME to rise suspicions right?
I wanted to do this, which shouldn't alter fuel trims to deviate too much: 6000rpm +.5 6500rpm +1 7000rpm +1.5 Or something along those lines depending on the OE boost curve. |

Leave the car as is. It's near Perfect. And probably operating at it's limit.
