Exclamation Paddles Intermittently Don't Work?

Anyone else come across this? Bought the car new back in 15, hardly use the paddles but I'm noticing them intermittently not working (cold or up to temp), or when trying to downshift it'll just decide to upshift, the stick works 100% of the time.

Is this an electrical gremlin? A coding issue? Am I going crazy?

You're not going crazy, I had the exact same issue. They replaced the slz and switch unit on my steering wheel to fix it. I attached my service invoice that was covered under warranty.

It was really annoying to have downshifts up shift for me lol.
