Is this much differential movement normal of the F80? Brand new Oem diff bushing.
I drove my buddies f82 and his diff is WAY quieter than mine with almost no movement that I could tell from the driver seat. Granted he does have aftermarket bushings. Mine clanks and smacks like a mf and it’s really annoying. I get some really bad wheel hope sometimes too. In the video the rear end is jacked up and engaging in first gear with firm braking in between.

Mine are getting really bad at 50k miles. Planning to swap to a brace with dual subframe mounting points and poly bushings at some point.

Anybody have recommendations on a kit?

I got mine replaced with an OE (newer design) bushing and I feel more movement than I anticipated too. I'll be going to the dual mount bracket soon, though Im undecided on PF poly or another OE.

Im pretty sure its not only the diff that is moving. Most likely the motor and tranny mounts might be worn too and causing more drivetrain movement.

Looks good! Does the subframe need to be dropped for install? Also, what’s pricing for the kit?

This kit can be installed w/o dropping the subframe. I am using the track bushings since I track the car, and its not too bad on the street.

Motor mounts were replaced at the same time.

Anybody ever just done Powerflex rears on a dual mount and left the front bushings alone?

Yeap. Nothing to note as far as NVH go. It was like OEM to me.

I changed mine out using Powerflex STREET bushings for all 4 in front and 2 in rear (added the missing bushing). Install was a bit of a pain, and there's a touch more diff noise though it's welcomed for me.

So the movement got worse when you replaced the bushing with the upgraded OEM poly mount?

That doesn't sound promising. I'm about to upgrade my stock bushing for the same 2018 poly mount. I'm expecting it to feel a little tighter definitely not looser.

Having done that, I wouldn't do only one bushing. I did that and am going to have the dual mount installed shortly. Also going to replace the front with new OE bushings as I think they got worn from the OE rear bushing that failed.

I was thinking the same. Upon inspection, the fronts looked ok it was just the rear that had a small crack in it. It wasn't collapsed.

Replaced with an ECS poly rear mount and it seems good. Not gonna go any more bracing on the diff, I'm good with how it feels stock or better. I don't want crazy NVH.

After Christmas I'll take the car out on a proper drive.

Seems ok. Noticeably tighter, a bit more nvh at highway speeds. But, I'm currently on my R compounds so they are noisy tires.

Not liking the harsh drive train shuddering caused by occasional wheel hop, I found this thread helpful and went with the KMP solution, which appears to be same as Team Schirmer.

Having a lowered car I liked how their offset bushings correct driveshaft tilt. Wish I did this upgrade long ago. Eliminates wheel hop. And while the more solid bushings do introduce a bit more NVH... not intrusive by any means.

Get above ~70mph and gear whine will become much more perceptible. Sounds really good... and approaching 100mph+ intoxicating... huh?!!

However, it is not as loud as in the video which has rear seat delete, etc.
