The chafing and scratches it will cause on the Eventuri not worth it.

The only thing that's touching the intake is the rubber hose. Hasn't left the slighest scratch on mine. I damaged my Eventuri trying to squeeze those V2 ducts more than this...

Not to mention this is a very real and functional product.
