Wheel specs for F82
Hey guys,
I’m considering on getting either TE’s, Vs5rs or BBS LMS. Any recommendations on which size? I’m not really familiar with how wheel sizes work. The bare minimum I know is I want the wheels 19 inch cuz it’s a pain to find new tires and I don’t want to let go of my PS4s. Also, I want to similar to my current wheel size. Not sure of my current wheel size however. I know TE and Vs5rs r usually 18 which is scary cuz my car is already low asf but 18 would look better cuz it’ll be a slight drop but yeah for those who own those wheels I’d to hear the size u guys recommend. I’ll post a current pic of my car and my current wheels up close. |

An 18” tire won’t lower the car if you maintain the same rolling diameter when increasing from an 18” to a 19”. For example, BMW uses a 255/40-18 (sidewall is 40% of tread width) and a 255/35-19 (sidewall is 35% of tread width) so the rolling diameter remains constant.
Your current setup has a fairly aggressive wheel setup. Do you know your current wheel specs and tire sizes? Commonly used front wheel specs are 19x9.5et22 or 19x10et25 (may require a 5 mm spacer, which makes the wheel a 19x10et20, to eliminate a clearance issue between the tire and front strut). An extremely aggressive front setup is 19x10et22 which requires > -3.0 deg of camber to tuck the tire into the wheel well. Commonly used rear wheels are 19x10.5et36 or 19x11et40 (et can range from 37 to 44). Anything more aggressive than a 19x11et37 requires increased rear negative camber. The most aggressive rear wheel offered is a 19x10.5et22 but requires a narrower tire and even more negative camber. Apex will have the largest selection of wheel specs whereas Volk and BBS will have a very limited number of wheel specs. You’ll need to select the brand of wheel design(s) first and then see what fitment options are available. Apex will have the most options. |

I am also running Pilot Alpin PA4s in the winter. Great tire, but I need to upgrade next season to the Alpin 5.

19 = diameter 255 = tire width 35 = aspect ratio "side wall height" Your wheels look to be Apex EC-7, the fronts don't appear to be that aggressive so I'm guessing the front is a 19x9.5+22, rears I can't make a guess from the photos provided. Your wheels on the inside would show the specs near the hub, so if you remove 1 front and 1 rear, you can determine the entire specs on your car. Other than that, I recommend searching the wheel threads here to gain some ideas of different wheel styles you like and various specs to determine what would best suit your needs.
