The MY2016 M3 and M4 start production in July 2015.

Standard equipment and pricing have changed versus MY15, as the following optional equipment is now standard for MY16:

•Comfort Access Keyless Entry (322)
•Satellite Radio with 1-year subscription (655)
•harman/kardon Surround Sound System (688)

There are also two new Individual colors. They are:

•Smoked Topaz Metallic (X12)
•Champagne Quartz Metallic (X08)

These replace Moonstone and Pyrite Brown in the Individual color lineup.

Additionally, Sakhir Orange Metallic (B50), which had been discontinued as of 2/15 is showing once again as an available color for MY16.

The F80 M3 sedan also receives the following F30 interior/exterior Lifecycle Impulse (LCI) measures.

•New Rear LED Lights

Not all 3 Series LCI changes carry over to the M3. These do not.

•Door accents according to trim accent (similar to 3 Series GT and 4-Series Models)
•Ambient lighting surrounding the center-stack

The following interior changes, which come as part of the F30 LCI, apply to both the M3 and M4:

•Chrome Accents surrounding the Front and Rear Air vents
•Chrome Accent near buttons for electric windows
•Improved Navigation Unit: new hardware, better performance, faster start-up of navigation and Voice Command, navigation map update over the air, more realistic presentation of city details
•Improved Child Seat handling
•Center-stack changes:
-•Pearlescent chrome applications for radio/climate control
-•Revised Automatic climate control display: white (vs. orange)

Nice! Probably will bump base price $1500+

Do you have a link or more details about ordering/option changes for the F80?

Now THIS intrigues me.

So does that mean that HK is standard and they've introduced a "better" upgraded audio option? Or is it just making HK the one and only choice?

Nice to have that included now.....and if they have an even better upscale option, well that's just fantastic

Other than what I have posted, that is the only info I have for now. Along with the post, I have this but it's already been mentioned:

LCI Changes: Interior

•Improved Navigation Unit: new hardware, better performance, faster start-up of navigation and Voice Command, navigation map update over the air, more realistic presentation of city details
But this is far more detail about the idrive changes than mentioned before. Pretty much what people thought, but the improved hardware is interesting.

I am happy to report that from the same source as I posted above, Sakhir Orange Metallic (B50) will make a return and be available as well
Awesome.

That's going to keep the masses from leaping off their nearest bridge after the reports of the 2 newest individual paint options....lol

It's also going to make a few of us SO owners feel just a lil less special

That's great news for those that despised the executive package upcharge. It would have been perfect if HUD was offered as a stand alone option.

Also curious to see if they bring in a new top level audio option.

What they really need to do is upgrade the whole 3 series line to include comfort access to all four doors. Just the front is silly and cheap of BMW.

Any updates on when competition package will be available? Is it a 2016 year model?

So no new cup holders? Weird, but aligns with the published photos.

So really all I'm losing out of now with exec. is heated steering wheel. Looks like I'm wearing gloves in the winter!

The only things I wanted from the Exec Package were keyless entry and sat radio, which is why I didn't get the package. Really nice that those two things are now standard. This is the only thing that I wish my '15 had. Could care less about the rear lights, iDrive update and chrome accents (that I'm glad I don't have).

That's what I wanted to but I wanted them badly enough to order the package. Also it either covers partial leather or brings a discount towards full leather.

These two points are indeed very interesting and make up for the not so great rear tail light updates.
A new better sound system is definitely something I would go for more than lights, patiently waiting for more details. Hopefully it is a system I can update to if in fact there is a better option now.

Thanks for the details.

As much as I'd shell out the cash, upgraded audio is very unlikely. Due to the development cost and low take rates, they'd want to spread it out to other models besides the low-volume F80. I'd love to be proven wrong (and of course I'll add it to my '16 build), but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Looks like I need to try my hardest for a MY15. I absolutely do NOT want comfort access. I HATE things in my pocket and my wallet and cell phone go in the cup holders. No easy place to put a key now too....ugh

Enhanced USB and Bluetooth should now be standard. My buddies new 2016 X3 has it standard. Smartphone Integration is now a separate $200 package.

Even if you didn't want comfort access all the cars now don't have key slots anymore to start the engines. Only the X1 I think still does..

I do not think that BMW will have 2 different center console top trims in production, Sam. It seems to me that BMW forgot to Photoshop the new cupholders sliding cover in the M3 LCI interior photos that they published.

If you noticed, the cupholders are fundamentaly the same as pre-LCI. What changed was eliminating the forward storage bin/12V outlet so the LCI sliding cover can slide forward. So only the top trim of the center console changed.

Do you realize that all F3x/8x have keyless start standard since introduction, right?

Comfort Access only provide keyless entry and trunk opening.

Bowers and Wilkins Premium Sound for the F30 has been coming for several years now. Now should be the time with HK standard, I guess.

There is no other information regarding a Competition Package at all. I'll monitor the database and see if something gets updated.
Appreciate the input.

Competition package is the only thing that matters to me. Everything else is trivial.

The database is still only giving me the MY15 for the F82 M4 Coupe and F83 M4 Convertible. I suspect that it should change next week or so.
Thank you. I think these changes to standard equipment will cover the M4 as well.

In fact, I would suppose that, like the IDrive update, other interior changes included in the 3 Series LCI will propagate not just to the M3, but to the 4 Series and M4 as well. Things like the chrome accents on vents and knobs apply to parts shared across all of these cars, so it only makes sense.
