Thank you.

I see this car has extended leather. Did you feel the dashboard to see if it's cheap hard plastic or something a little softer?

I think I just changed my opinion about this Yellow color. How close is this to seeing it in person?

How long is the shifter? Did you try moving it? How is the travel?

I think I'm actually starting to like Austin Yellow. It shows the rear fender flares of the M4 beautifully. Great pictures of the interior too!

Looks like they are now using the F10 M5 shift knob for the new M3/M4. Makes sense.

Thanks for sharing the photos!

Extended or Full

I believe that is "Full Leather" (as opposed to cloth/leather seats). Extended leather adds it to the console & dash.

It's the other way round, full leather is extended leather plus e.g. console, dash and upper door panels.

Best regards,
south

So the military price list previously posted is wrong? http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=935117:

Full Merino Leather: $950 n/c w/Executive Pkg
Extended Merino Leather: $2,000 *w/Executive Pkg: $1,100

[Edit: I see the UK price list has the two reversed as to cost]

Props to whoever at BMW decided to name the two options "extended" and "full" so that they would have the best chance of confusing everyone.

It felt exactly like the m6 grand coupe!

To be honest I'd say it's 95% accurate. The iPhone impressed me!

The shifter is the exact one I use in the e92, the gates feel smoother.

Travel is about the same.

I'm 5'11 and 175 lbs, the current e92 sport seats feel great though a little small.

The m4 seats felt more supportive,

I don't think this is correct. See the military pricing guide. Extended is Full plus dash and extra coverings.
