Am I the only one that always has M Drive active?

Never take my car out of the "m button mode"

No you are definitely not the only one.

In fact, I would guess that over 90% of people have one of their M Drive profiles active all the time since there is no way to change the start-up defaults.

By the way, if you haven't yet, peruse the sticky FAQ thread. Excellent info in there.

Once the motor warms up, I'm in Sport, Sport, Sport, S3. Other than that, I'll go back to default (Efficient, Comfort, Comfort, D1) a couple/few miles out to give the turbos a rest.

Depends on what your M settings are!

But yes, I almost always have an M setting selected.

Still in the break in period with 700 miles on the odometer. I have M2 set in the most aggressive settings. So far I have spend 95% of the time in startup mode

And I never use the auto start/stop feature.

I usually drive in M1 mode. Then when I blow through 3/4 tank of gas in no time i'm like .Then I feel guilty and drive the last 1/4 tank on Efficient mode.

I drive in the start settings for the first few miles as my car warms up, as there aren't any interesting roads near my home anyway. I don't need to be in Sport or Sport+ driving a straight line.

Once the car is warmed up and I hit a nice section of road I go into M1 or M2.

I actually spend too much time in start settings which is kinda sad...

Thank You! I was hesitant on trading it in, but the irresistible M reeled me in.

I had a nice long round trip from CT to VA and did some periods in D mode. It was interesting to get awesome gas mileage for a change and pretty cool to have a car that is so chameleon like in its characteristics. One minute its an animal, flip a button and its a super quiet GT like car that's comfortable on long drives...really impressive...Of course usually its M1 or M2 I went through two full tanks in four hours of autocross three weeks ago, crazy grin for weeks after

I am in M1 most of the time. M2 with traction on 30% or so of the time. Rarely in default setting.

Without traction it gets hairy in a moment!

I still don't have my car yet, so I need to fiddle with the settings before I decide how I want to program my M buttons.

However, those default settings are a real odd combination. If you're going to default to efficiency for throttle, they might as well default to comfort for steering and suspension. That seems more logical. The M buttons could then be used for Sport and Sport +, and of course people could customize them any which way they want.

Again, I don't have my car yet, but I just can't vision me ever wanting to be in Efficiency, Sport, Sport, but I suppose there may be times I might want to be in Efficiency, Comfort and Comfort.

Default settings are odd to say the least so we probably all hit the M button when we start. I'm curious about whether anyone actually prefers and leaves their car in the default setting.
